Recently, i went on a city trip to Antwerp. Normally, i find city trip photos quite uninteresting; they are all the same. Just quickly taken photos of the hotspots. So when in Antwerp i tried to capture some different images of the city. Hopefully, i was succesful. You can have an impression at my gallery.

Yesterday i finally got inspired, and i wrote a poem. I owe the South-African poet Ingrid Jonker for that. This semester i followed the course 'Worldliterature', and there i came into contact with her poetry. Of course we discussed her poem 'Die kind wat doodgeskiet is deur soldate by Nyanga' (The child who was shot by soldiers at Nyanga), which Nelson Mandela cited at his speech in 1994. A beautiful and heavy poem, also beautifully portrayed in the film 'Black Butterflies' about Jonker's life. Another poem which made a great impression on me was 'Ek herhaal jou': 'Ek herhaal jou                                      (i repeat you) sonder

Any tips for WHAT to draw? My lack of inspiration is getting me angry, like that little blackbird...
